Pacific Networks announces the release of OS version 6.2.1

Pacific Networks, a Hong Kong information security software and microelectronics provider, announces the release of version 6.2.1 of its proprietary operating system.

Creating high-tech and competitive information security solutions is the goal of Pacific Networks. The company’s developers and engineers are focused on three main areas: expanding the functionality and performance of Pacific Networks solutions, creating proprietary hardware platforms and modules, and providing the maximum expertise in information security. Their efforts recently resulted in the release of Pacific Networks OS version 6. The upgrade affects all Pacific Networks, virtual platforms, hardware and software systems, as well as the company’s complementary products, which in combination provides holistic network security management across a hybrid IT infrastructure.

For companies with extensive branch networks, support for centralized management of the entire Pacific Networks' device fleet via a single management console has been added.

For companies with complex and geographically distributed IT infrastructure, the ability to create routing contexts (VRF, virtual router) has been added. The solution can be used to ensure high-quality isolation of networks for increased security.

The new version adds the ability to record changes made by administrators via logging of all or certain changes with the requirement of a detailed description of each of them. Improved auditing of administrator actions helps to avoid human errors, among other things.

As of January 2023, Pacific Networks' Hong Kong office is open 7 days a week.
